How to Put Air In Bike Tires At Gas Station

Steps to inflate air in bike tires at gas station:
Step 1. The first thing you need to check is whether there is a proper pump device that can fit in your bike value. Usually, there are 2 types of valves used in bikes nowadays, i.e., Presta and Schrader, so check which pump device is available at the gas station.
Step 2. After confirming the valve, make sure the valve is near to the ground so that you can easily fill your bike tires with air.
Step 3. If you are on Schrader, you need to first remove the plastic cover from the top of the value to fill it up. As for Presta valves, firstly, you need to remove the cap over the valve, following with twisting the nozzle clockwise to open it.
Step 4. Now you need to mount the pressure gauge in the valve in both cases and start filling air into the bike tire. Also, make sure that you know the right amount of PSI (Pound-force per square inch) for your bike tires otherwise, you might end up with a flat tire.
Step 5. If you don’t know the exact PSI of your bike tires, then in any of the cases, pressure should not exceed 50 PSI. You can manually check your tire pressure by bouncing your bike and pressing the tire with your hand.
Note: If your recommanded PSI for the tire is 45 then you can fill it for upto 50 PSI without any damage so you dont need to be fear is you fill it out more than the recommanded value. But always try not to overinflating it.
Step 6. Once you fill it with the required amount of pressure, you find to put back the plastic cap on your bike just the way you remove it.
